The Gauley River

Each fall, Rafters from around the world come to take on the biggest whitewater of the year. The Gauley River drops a staggering 668 feet over 24 miles, delivering relentless, high-volume Class III-V+ rapids that demand precision and power. Gauley Season only runs in September & October, when morning fog drifts over the river and golden leaves reflect off the water, creating an unforgettable rafting experience.

The Lower Gauley

With big rapids and long stretches of whitewater, the Lower Gauley delivers thrills and adventure from start to finish. This full-day adventure is a roller coaster ride through 13 miles of jaw-dropping scenery. Ride powerful waves, tackle thrilling rapids, and soak in the beauty of the Gauley River Canyon during peak fall foliage.
