Upper New River Rafting & Rock Climbing/Rappelling Package

Bring your family’s A-game, for a frolic-y fun time on the water and a challenging second day on the rocks.
xUpprNew-Small-2

Day one: The Upper New River is the quintessential family-fun river section. Characterized by placid pools and long shoals rapids up to mild class III, you can run it in a one or two-person inflatable kayak (AKA a “ducky”) or if you’re a little more tentative hop into a full sized raft with your guide. Either way, get ready to get wet and slightly wild. We’ll stop for a gigantic riverside deli lunch, too, and if time permits, a waterfall hike!

Of course, the two best vantage points from which to view the 900’-deep New River Gorge are the river and rocks, and on morning two, we’ve got you covered for the latter of those. Rock climbing is challenging and it engages all your senses. Rappelling is physically undemanding, but that first step is a doozy. Expect to be sore at the end of your second day.

This package includes:
  • Day 1: Upper New River Whitewater Rafting
  • Morning 2: 1/2-Day Rock Climbing and Rappelling
  • Lunch on the rafting day
  • (Optional) Buffet breakfast both days and prix fixe dinner on the rafting day

Do you need lodging, too? Give us a call and our adventure specialists will help you get it all together.
