Half-Day SUP

Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is a rapidly growing sport that has evolved from ocean wave surfing by putting a paddle in the participant's hands, which helps increase mobility and balance.

SUP gives you a unique vantage point of the water and shore line, and you'll be amazed at the ease of paddling and the quick learning curve.

Many first timers say they have no balance and feel apprehensive about paddleboarding, but we offer a progression tailored to you, so you can get comfortable with the equipment and the environment. Sessions for first-time paddleboarders take place on Summersville Lake in the no-wakes zones led by a SUP guide.

If you're an experienced SUPper on open water, and you'd like to try your hand at whitewater SUP, we can help. We have easy vehicle access to Fayette Station in the New River Gorge, which is one of the best moving-water SUP playgrounds around, perfect for getting your river legs under you.

And if you'd like to mix things up, try our Summersville Lake Tour, featuring an exhilirating combination of stand up paddleboarding, rock climbing, kayaking and swimming.

We provide SUP guides with every trip.

What’s Provided

We provide a SUP guide, transportation to and from the Lake, your board, paddle and PFD. We'll also provide drinks.

What to Bring

We recommend board shorts, performance shirts, sunglasses with straps, sunscreen, and water shoes. This trip does go in the rain (it's an amazing experience!) so be sure to bring a rain coat to keep you dry and warm.

Requirements & Restrictions

It's important that you can swim and that you make our staff aware of any medical conditions. There is no weight limit for this activity, but if you are over 200lbs let us know so we can equip you with the correct sized board.

Trip Safety

Your guides and leaders will discuss specific safety requirements on site.
